Hi, My name is Salvis Slavisens and I make sculptures. I come from Baltic country – Latvia. I came to the Netherlands to study Visual art because of the international environment. 

My graduation work is about experiencing different ways to interact with objects. I do this by working with stepper motors, melting plastics, wood constructions, and even hand-woven sculptures. 
 

My research method is called Salvis Social art method. In this method, I work together with participants. Together with participants, we make new rules with whom work is created. 

My personal drive is that everyone is an artist. Art is something that can change the way one looks at the world, so I would like that my individual works and collaborative practices nurtures creativity and its endless possibilities.
